A lot of writing has a short sell-by date, Conni, but I think it has more permanence than sales, or teaching, or athletic achievement, or musical performance, and many other things. Others may not return to our work, but we always can--and on Medium, we can edit and improve it as often as we like. So much of what I do, like teaching, really is evanescent, and I tend to view writing, even private writing, as something a little more durable.

Yours sure is, my friend.
