Here in Asheville, NC, we're expecting 10-15" of rain, 10-15' flood levels, and the general chaos that attends so much water (flash flooding, downed trees and power lines, landslides, etc.). Schools and universities canceled classes in anticipation of the disruptions. It's serious.
