I agree with you, Michael, and with Tim's previous comment. That said, I'm currently in a season of non-attendance. That is partly a holdover from the discontinuities of Covid and partly a need to heal a bit from the messiness of the congregation that I love. I need to live a life of faith in relationship with others, no question, but sometimes, there can be reasons for stepping back that are not heretical but healing, not selfish but seasonal.
