I don't understand the ATP points very well, but Rune's persistent ranking in the teens is a mystery to me. How can he lose match after match to lower ranked players, like Uchiyama in Hangzhou, and still be #14? I guess R16 finishes at Roland Garros and Wimbledon have buoyed him up. But has he beaten a player ranked higher than he was this year?

I regard Musetti as such a better player than Rune--and Musetti is ranked #19, with a career high of #15. How?
