I felt some relief reading your piece, TzeLin, because I don't read everyone's article. If it's less than 3 minutes, I probably do give it the requisite 30 seconds and clap whether it engages me or not, but otherwise, the first two or three paragraphs have to make me want to invest more. There are very few others whose work I'll read no matter what--and I've felt a little guilty about that despite my awareness that others are doing that unto me. It's nice to read this quiet part said out loud!
