I read this story to learn about you, but I grew up in a dry (Methodist) household so I did not drink anything until my first trip to Europe when I was 21. There beer (in Germany) and wine (in Greece) carried no stigma and I enjoyed them. Still do, though I’m more likely to enjoy them with friends.
