Does Medium push a message that university degrees are scams? I've had maybe 10 commenters who've written that, but I haven't detected that theme in general. I agree that university tuition is too high; I understand that costs of living, loans, and debts are pushing students into high income fields. But that is not the same as arguing that the education provided by universities is somehow fraudulent, since you could get exactly the same from YouTube and TikTok. I did not write this piece as an argument for or against anything, but I may write one or two more about the difference between learning facts and learning how to learn.

I have not heard anyone else say that large tech companies may begin to hire linguists and ethicists! I won't be their top candidate, but that is encouraging.
