I'm 58 now and 30 years--actually 31--into my teaching career. I couldn't help but smile at all you wrote, John. I've moved a bit so won't have the children of students I taught, but I'm older than the parents of most of my college students now. I earned my Ph.D. a decade before our graduating class was born. So yeah, I hear you, brother. Congrats on the last lap of a great career.
