I'm very grateful that I started learning Greek and Latin when I was young, Alisha (17 for Greek, 19 for Latin). I think it was easier for me to do so then. But I agree with you entirely, my ability to reflect on the texts and their societies is immeasurably deeper now.

Please don't say "only" an adjunct! I know what you mean. It's a tenuous and exploited position, but it's also absolutely necessary. I hope you find more permanence if that's what you seek. And in the meantime, I hope you're treated with the respect and dignity that you deserve as an adjunct.
