I'm with you: George Saunders is fantastic. I first encountered some of his short stories in the New Yorker decades ago, and the first collection I read was Pastoralia. But I wasn't gripped until In Persuasion Nation. To my mind, Lincoln in the Bardo is his masterpiece, but I haven't read everything. Working through Liberation Day now, though five of those stories also appeared in the New Yorker. Happy to think more about Saunders!
