In the college classroom, I usually feel like the fundamental lesson, no matter the subject, is how to learn. Sure, there are subjects where expertise is transmitted (e.g. introductory languages), but more often, I try to create the sense that we are learning together--and I'm just the person with the most practice in the classroom.
