In your writing on Medium, perhaps you do, but this piece reveals that you are perfectly capable of a balanced perspective, even if you lean toward a view of what needs to improve.

And the "bad stuff" is a useful and provocative niche. In its more corrosive forms this perspective can become toxic cynicism; but this perspective can motivate corrective criticism (whether philosophical or satirical, Socrates or Jonathan Swift) and engaged activism, too. I read a few writers on Medium whose voice is usually "negative," but I learn from them and I value that.
