I'm reading a very short book by Pablo d'Ors, The Biography of Silence, that another Medium writer, Harry Readhead, called his favorite, and so far it has not disappointed. It's a little silly to recommend something you're in the midst of, but d'Ors talks about silence in ways that you echo.
