Lots of memorable expressions in this prose poem, J.D. but this one grabbed me.
I remember a sermon one time in which the preacher asked, "What's the most useless thing you are carrying with you?" A woman held up an expired coupon, a bald man held up a comb (to laughter). I thought I didn't have anything like that, until I realized I have two keys that I carry everywhere which fit nothing I know. So nicely done!
Great image, too.
