And it's a brilliant response to a fairly elaborate scam. The only stupidity seems to be that the scammer impersonated your priest. I'd think the likelihood that you'd pick up the phone and call for confirmation would be so high that no one would try such a scheme. But hey, I never expected that someone would invite me to dinner, either.
