Oh Kelly, that sounds terrible! My friend may have abused my hospitality, in a sense, but it was never intentional and never felt that way. And thank God she never tried to cite Scripture or guilt me into anything. By and large she was grateful and tried to be considerate, but her needs simply swamped everything I had to give.

I love your expression "addictive proclivities and ghosts from past experiences." It's spot on as a description for my situation, too.
