Thank you for this, Kevin. And thank you for the quotation from Billy Collins. I didn't know it and had to look up the poem in which it occurs, and it's wonderful.

I'm only casually acquainted with Collins' work, but I enjoy most of what I've read. My favorite quotation from Collins, however, came from a Q&A that he did after a poetry reading at my university in the mid-2000s (I remember it was after he served as Poet Laureate). The questioner asked what emotion(s) most motivated his poetry. Collins said, "I wish I could say, Love, but honestly, I would say Fear." I felt like he had described my life in that answer.
