Admittedly, my sample size is very small, but I think the experience of online dating tends to be better for those our age (i.e. 50s, with apologies if you're younger!) than for those a generation behind us.

The first woman I dated was on another site, too--one with fewer boomers, it seemed--and she shared some of the men's profiles from that site. Good Lord: shirtless, staring thoughtfully, masked. Those guys actually provided me a solid date-night though: we had a blast captioning those young man profile photos.
