My girl is home from college now for her winter break (she just picked me up from the bike shop, in fact) and we're enjoying our time together. She's busy with friends and picking up a few restaurant and babysitting shifts, too, but we've had a great time. The fact is she has thoroughly enjoyed her first semester and a new city, and I'm delighted for her. My words seem to be holding up: my child's happiness is still strong medicine.
