Rationally I understand that it's never too late to do something new--although in my case, professional athlete and hair model are in my rear view--but intuitively I don't feel it. I've done this one thing for so long that it's very difficult to picture myself on a different path. Thank goodness I have some time to learn to imagine it!

So glad to hear that you taught Latin. I wish it were offered more at the high school level, but it's disappearing there more quickly than at universities. My university has the last Latin Licensure program for the state, and now that will disappear, too. I'm not sure how students in NC who want to teach Latin in public high schools will be certified to do so now.
