There would certainly be a learning curve, my friend: I've never made a video! Well, that's not quite true. During the early days of Covid I recorded myself giving mini-lectures and "pep talks" that I posted on our online digital platform, but those were like a child's crayon drawing compared to the artwork of a real YouTube creation.
But you are completely correct: the classics do well on YouTube. When I am creating new assignments I check for good videos as well as good readings, and I sometimes pair them. I haven't really considered this as an income stream, but I welcome the advice. I'll look into it.
