This is a very insightful piece! I think this is where we distinguish between an audience and our friends. Our friends will walk with us through the unprocessed dreck of our lives in real time, but an audience won't. Our friends love us for ourselves, not as a story, or a lesson, or an aesthetic experience--and thank God for that!
