This prompted some interesting self-reflection. I'm not usually aware of women's body hair, and I'm always surprised when women apologize for having what I would never have noticed. A man's shaved chest usually strikes me as more "unnatural" than a woman's hairy legs. But I tend to notice excessive body hair on men or women...and I have no idea why.

Of course, it could just be envy. As you can see from my profile photo, hair is not something I have in excess. Or even in moderation.
