What a wonderful story, Andrés! I'm delighted that you had the opportunity to learn Latin and Greek, but even more, to teach Latin. My Latin was very good when I was a student, but when I began to teach it, it became even better. I'm sure you experienced that, too.
Congratulations on your professional position as well. Where do you teach? What is your specialty in anthropology?
I'm also glad that you continue to use your Latin and Greek with your students. I know what you mean. I teach a course on Medical Terminology, History, & Ethics, and I try to bring as complete a picture to the terminology as I can, rather than have the students learn roots, prefixes, and suffixes. I thoroughly enjoy that class, too.
Thank you for reading and responding, my friend, and all best to you.
