Yes! Sappho captures emotions as well as anyone (she coined the term "love bittersweet," Ἐρος...γλυκύπικρον, frag. 130) and as you say, her fragments are sometimes wildly evocative in themselves. Anne Carson used one such fragment as the title of her translation of Sappho, If Not, Winter. How about that?
