If an NBA, NFL, MLB, or other professional team player is injured, their salary continues. But if a tennis player or golfer is injured, they stop earning. I think their rankings are protected for a time, but their bank accounts are not. That's an enormous amount of stress.

But your son's observation is certainly correct: no one can bench you!
