You're are entirely correct, JC, and I am grateful for what I've had. I hope I didn't imply otherwise in the piece. I don't even disagree with the need to review academic programs and resources. But I'd prefer that those reviews not be done within weeks and driven by crisis, and I'd prefer that their results be more intentional and explicable.

I'm sorry that you have experienced such turbulence in your equivalent amount of time doing research. It sounds even more capricious than what I face, and I'm sure that must feel terrible. I wish you all the best.
